 ICAS BENGALURU CHAPTER 1

Admissions: Admissions

ICAS MEMBERSHIP

Enrollment/Admission fee and annual subscription fee for the various categories of membeship for students including foreign nationals shall be as prescribed by the Managing Committee of  ICAS from time to time. Those students who are Indian nationals interested in Astrology or practising Astrology, on payment of prescribed fee as mentioned below, may be enlisted as member, which can be of two kinds:

  1. Life Member: A lumpsum fee of Rs. 1000/- (Academic Interest or Non-Students). Life Members are permitted to add L.M./I.C.A.S. after their names.

  2. Students appearing for the Council examinations shall have to become a Life Member by remitting the fee  through the Chapter-Chairman/Centre Co-ordinator on enrollment to the classes.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Jyotish Praveena, Hasta Rekha Praveena, Vaastu Praveena and Nadi Praveena examinations: A candidate seeking admission to these examinations should be a member of the Council, above 18 years of age and must have passed SSC examination or equivalent thereto. These qualifications are not relaxable.

  2. Jyotish Visharada, Hasta Rekha Visharada, Vaastu Acharya and Nadi Acharya examinations: Minimum qualification for appearing in these examinations is a pass in Jyotish Praveena, Hasta Rekha Praveena, Vastu Praveena and Nadi Praveena respectively. Exceptionally brilliant students who are members of the Council, who have passed Graduate Level Examination and who have at least 5 years of practical experience, as an amateur or as a professional astrologer, may however be allowed to appear directly in Jyotish Visharada on the recommendations of the Chapter Chairman and with the prior permission of the the Controller of Examinations.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION & EXAMINATION

ICAS Bengaluru Chapter 1 conduct all the above mentioned Courses in English and Kannada languages as medium of instruction. Candidates can appear for written examinations with either English or Kannada as medium.

ENROLLMENT PROCESS

Interested persons willing to register to the courses could contact the Chapter Chairman/Secretary for the application forms, prospectus and syllabus.

The filled up application forms along with three passport size photographs needs to be submitted to the chapter Chairman/Secretary for registration.

Once registered the relevent course fee and examination fee for the courses needs to be paid by the candidate.

EXAMINATION - SEMESTER SYSTEM

a)  For Jyotish Praveena and Jyotish Visharada Examinations Candidates have two options :

  • Either  to appear in all the four papers in Jyotish Praveena at the end of the year or six papers in Jyotish Visharada at a time, after a lapse of one year from the dat eof passing the Jyotish Praveena Examination

OR

  • To appear in first two papers of Jyotish Praveena or the First three papers of Jyotish Visharada, as the case may be, in First Semester(six months duration) and to appear in the remaining two papers or three papers in the first semster of first six months. The examinee may be allowed to appear in that paper/those papers at the end of the second semester along with other papers of the second semester on payment of additional Examination fee of Rs 150 per paper or as may be prescribed for reappearance in any paper or papers.

b)  For Hasta Rekha Praveena and Hasta Rekha Visharada, Vaastu Praveena and Vaastu Acharya, Nadi Praveena and Nadi Visharada  Examinations Candidates have to appear in two papers each(six months duration).
